Theocracy - Introduction - Aaron Ireland
There are two kinds of people: those who say to God, "Thy will be done", and those to whom God says, 'Alright then, have it your way.' - C.S Lewis
...Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you. God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; Neither is worshipped with men’s hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things... - Acts 17:22-27
This first part is an introduction to a series which will deal with the theme of Theocracy. The series will exposit portions of the Book of Genesis, in an attempt to demonstrate God's intended plan to rule over His creation, and His genius in ordering the events of the fall, so as to perfect a restored humanity though the blood of the "Lamb slain from the foundation of the world." (Rev 13:8). In essence, we will be going to the beginning, in order to discern the rule of the one who is the "same yesterday, and to day, and for ever" (Heb 13:8).
This series will be presented by means of a "PodBlog Simulcast", where the thoughts and ideas will be transmitted simultaneously through this Podcast and in text format at cjakforest.blogspot.com. This episode correlates to the post entitled Theocracy. Feel free to read this, as there are some things that are gone into more detail in the document, and others which are further clarified in the audio.
I hope you benefit from this small offering, and that you will be inspired to put your full weight upon the mercy of God.
