There is an aspect of truth that is present reality. It is a tragedy when pretending something is that is not, is perceived as being more important than seeing things as they actually are. This is not faith. Present reality can only be considered factual when we acknowledge the transitory nature of it. That which actually is, will change as time progresses.

This episode is a call to avoid the temptation to separate the physical from the spiritual, in a moral sense. This was the error of the Gnostics, who infiltrated the early church, and this error is subtly seeing increasing prevalence in modern Christendom.
